The latest news from Netflix camp is that our very own Francesca Bridgerton aka Ruby Stokes is to lead the streamer’s latest book adaptation “Lockwood & Co”, a ghost-busters themed book series.
Stokes stars in ” Lockwood & Co.” , a series adaptation of Jonathan Stroud’s book series.Stokes is joined by Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati as the main-cast who are also new-comers. Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) is attached to direct. Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans), Luke Treadaway (Ordeal by Innocence) and Morven Christie (The Bay) also are a part of the cast.
Stokes’ Lucy Carlyle is a supremely psychically gifted girl who runs a detection agency along with Anthony Lockwood played by Chapman and George Karim played by Hadji-Heshmari. The story set in London is based on a history changing small-scale startup, Lockwood & Co amongst the many corporate run agencies owned by gifted teenage ghost-hunters fighting deadly spirits.
Co-writer of “Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” and “Ant-Man”, Cornish himself executive produces the show alongside Nira Park and Rachael Prior. The Eight-episode series is produced by Edgar Wright’s Complete Fiction, also co-founded by Cornish, Park and Prior.
