Brie Larson’s Apple Series ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ Rounds Out Cast

Production for ‘Captain Marvel’ actress Brie Larson’s upcoming Apple TV Plus series ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ is moving at brisk pace. The eagerly anticipated show has now added a host of talented performers alongside Brie Larson. The list includes ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor Lewis Pullman, ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ actress Aja Naomi King, ‘The Flight Attendant’ actress Stephanie Koenig, ‘Gaslit’ actor Patrick Walker, ‘Halloween Kills’ actor Thomas Mann, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ actor Kevin Sussman, and Emmy and Golden Globes winning veteran actor Beau Bridges (brother of Jeff Bridges).

Based on Bonnie Garmus’s bestselling novel of the same name, ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ features Academy Award winner Brie Larson in the role of Elizabeth Zott and the story is set during the 1960s period. In order to achieve her dream of becoming a scientist against prevalent societal norms, the pregnant protagonist is ousted from her job instead. Later, she takes up the job of a cooking show host, which she uses to educate neglected housewives about scientific topics and that grabs many eyeballs.

The Apple TV+ series ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ has been written for the screen by Susannah Grant, who had previously lent her writing skills for the gripping police procedural show ‘Unbelievable’. And the showrunner for the upcoming Apple series is Lee Eisenberg, whose earlier works include ‘The Office’, ‘Little America’ and ‘We Crashed’, amongst others.

‘Lessons in Chemistry’ is slated to stream on the Apple TV+ OTT platform sometime in the year 2023. Besides the show, Brie Larson’s forthcoming acting projects include the ‘Captain Marvel’ sequel ‘The Marvels’, action film ‘Fast X’, and an untitled CIA-based spy series.
