Academy Award winner, Brie Larson turned director with the feature film The Unicorn Store. In her maiden attempt, the actress is drawing extreme reactions where some are calling it an unbearable disaster while others are finding it very unique.
The common point among both the segments giving the contrasting opinions is that Brie Larson has picked a different and unique subject that deals with the coming of age of a girl. Now whether it has reached the expectations or not is varying individually. Some have found it abstractly beautiful whereas others see it missing the mark entirely.
The Unicorn Store debuted on Netflix on April 5th. It stars Brie Larson, also doubling up as director, in the lead role. Samuel L Jackson plays a critical part. Joan Cusack, Hamish Linklater, and Bradley Whitford play other essential characters.
