If you are a Cartoon Network geek you must be in love with the awesome cartoon Bugs Bunny by Warner Bros. Well, here is some good news for you, the production house is going to have a live action adaptation.
Writer-director Robert Rugan is helming the project. He is known for his films like Alic’s Misadventures In Wonderland, Deadly Squids from Beyond Saturn and many short films like Abracadabra or Danny And The Wild Bunch. He is known for children’s films and it is a good choice to hire him indeed.
Bugs Bunny is definitely one of the most popular cartoons that had a huge contribution in making our childhood beautiful. Bugs Bunny made a debut in the 1930s and was popular in shows like Looney Toons and Merrie Melodies.
Bugs is the name of a gray and white rabbit who plays a trickster and plays many funny pranks. He has a continuous rift with a man of short height who usually plays a hunter of some builder or other things. His catchphrase ‘Eh…What’s up, doc?’ is too popular among kids. Bugs has almost 160 or so short films in total and has a star in Hollywood Walk Of Fame as well.
The movie will be a hybrid film with live action and animation both there. Live action adaptations have a huge popularity among kids and despite critics and old school nostalgic cinephiles voting for the original animated ones, we cannot ignore the power of live actions. In the fast changing world, live actions are taking over traditional animation and hopefully, the Bugs Bunny adaptation will not disappoint the viewers as Tom Hanks’ Pinocchio or some other stories did.
