Nandamuri Balakrishna’s celebrity talk show, Unstoppable worked wonderfully well for Aha Video. It gave much needed impetus to Aha’s OTT campaign and the Telugu-only OTT platform is now planning to build on the positive momentum it had garnered through Unstoppable. It is heard that Aha Video is planning another OTT talk show on the lines of Unstoppable. But this time around, Allu Arjun will be hosting the show.
Reports are emerging, claiming that Aha Video is conceiving a pan-India talk show and they plan to rope in Allu Arjun for the same. The idea is to give this talk show a universal touch by inviting notes superstars from all the major film industries, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Allu Arjun’s superstardom will be the mainstay, as one would expect.
But this is just speculation for now. However, if Aha Video does manage to pull it off, then this show has a lot of potential. The most popular talk show in India would arguably be Koffee With Karan. But this show hasn’t touched the regional pockets, especially down South. If Aha Video conceives a winning show with Allu Arjun and manages to bring in superstars from across the country, it could cater to the OTT audience from all the major circuits in the country. This will ultimately boost Allu Arjun’s image as well.
In all fairness, Balakrishna has set the benchmark for talk shows in the Telugu OTT market with Unstoppable. His no-nonsense attitude, unfiltered conversations, and dynamic presence have all greatly helped Unstoppable. It would take some doing if Allu Arjun is to better the same.
But what Allu Arjun does have is pan-India stardom and if he actually comes on board for Aha’s talk show, it would be one of the most exciting prospects in the Indian OTT space.
