Kajal Agarwal is set to feature in a web series called ‘3 Roses’ for Aha along with director Maruthi. Everything is set for an interesting premise as Aha has won a lot of acclaims and even reached a crucial milestone at a relatively young age when it comes to OTT platforms.
Kajal Agarwal made her digital debut with Live Telecast which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar and was part of their slate of original titles which was focussed primarily on the regional audience. While Live Telecast was hyped and marketed really well it had a lot of viewers unsatisfied both with her performance as well as the storyline.
Kajal Aggarwal has tried to stamp her mark on the digital space with Live Telecast but the reviews haven’t been all that positive with regards to her performance. Kajal Aggarwal is a big name in the industry but navigating your path into the digital space can be quite a tedious process as the audiences scrutinize even the finest of details that may otherwise get overlooked on the big screen.
Kajal Aggarwal has a good roster of projects already lined up for her and while her first large scale web-series may have not gone according to plans, one hopes that she can find her feet with ‘3 Roses’ again.
Aha is making rounds for being one of the first local OTT players that have successfully navigated this tough terrain and projects with regional stars can certainly give the platform a big boost. Many of the performers from the cinema industry are trying to figure their way into the OTT space due to its lure but this again begs us to thin whether some of the big stars are much more suited to the theatre audience than the one’s that regularly watch content on OTT platforms and does Kajal Aggarwal fall into that category.
