Kanguva, starring Suriya, Disha Patani, and Bobby Deol, went on booking sales earlier today, one day ahead of its November 14 release. After some initial bumps, the advance sales of the Pan-India spectacle, which has an estimated budget of ₹350 crore, appear to have accelerated since this morning.
According to reports, Kanguva’s bookings for its opening day brought in ₹7.50 crore at the domestic box office. Bookings in Tamil Nadu have surpassed ₹4.50 crore, and more shows are being added to the collection over time. With numerous screens left to open the bookings, the Telugu states have collected nearly ₹1.30 crore.
With worldwide sales of over 13 crores till now, the film stands strong on its first day as of now. Given the film has a larger first weekend starting from Thursday, the numbers will surely reach higher in the upcoming days. The booking phase for the film also started a bit late which might affect its first-day collection.
At the time of writing, the film is garnering over 13k tickets per hour on BookMyShow countrywide. The hype for the film has been unmatched since the epic face-off between Bobby Deol and Suriya came into play. With a promising yet eventful weekend ahead, Suriya’s Kanguva might sweep the ongoing releases with its massive plot and mint over 100 crores in its first weekend.
It all comes down to tomorrow as Suriya takes the front seat in a compelling affair that promises to be a cracker. Only time will tell how the audiences will react to the overall story given the hype and anticipation for Suriya’s Kanguva.
