Tumbbad, released back in 2018; could not do much in the box office and was considered a failure. If people can get tickets so cheap that too for a movie that has a cult following, we can surely call it a success. The makers are targeting about 20-25k ticket sales prior to the release of the film. This seems like an easy target to achieve. We have already seen the film’s following and how people are excited for its release. The film, with its cheap tickets, can target the people who seek to go to the theatres for mere entertainment. They will eye on Tumbbad compared to other films due to the cheaper ticket prices.
With all these advantages, Tumbbad may stand as one of the highest grossing films on the day of its release. As per the looks of it, the film can easily surpass the opening collection of The Buckingham Murders. Owing to its cheap ticket price and the huge fan following and the nostalgia built around it; the film is sure to see a good opening.
