Captain America: Brave New World from Marvel Studios is all set for its digital release. The latest Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford starrer will be available to buy or rent on major digital platforms in the US, including Amazon, Apple TV, Fandango, and more. The film is also expected to arrive on BookMyShow on the same date for Indian viewers. May 13 is the release date for its 4K Blu-ray and DVD versions.
As for Captain America 4’s OTT release, it is expected to premiere on Disney+ (for US viewers) and JioHotstar (for Indian viewers) sometime in late May or early June 2025.
The home video version includes three scenes that didn’t make the final cut. The first deleted scene takes place in Washington and features Sam Wilson (Mackie) boxing with Leila Taylor (Xosha Roquemore), a Secret Service agent assigned to protect President Thunderbolt Ross (Ford).
Sam tries to extract information about a secret mission from the guarded Leila, which is eventually revealed to be a trip to Mexico—where Captain America must retrieve stolen adamantium from the villain Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito).
The Brave New World home release also offers deeper insights into Sam Wilson’s journey within the MCU. It explores the film’s villains, including the Leader, Sidewinder, and even Ross’s transformation into the Red Hulk. Additionally, fans can enjoy a collection of funny outtakes and listen to director Julius Onah’s commentary on the film.
Captain America: Brave New World emerged as an average grosser, earning $412 million globally against its $180 million budget. Critically, the film received mixed reviews, with praise for Mackie’s and Ford’s performances and action sequences, but criticism aimed at the overall story, the Leader’s arc, and a disappointing final act.
