The latest ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ teaser is bonkers! The teaser is not only brimmed with action and thrill but also teases how serious the movie is going to be when it arrives in theatres worldwide on February 14 next year. The clip features plenty of exciting characters. But who’s the main villain? It’s too early to figure out who’s going to be the real baddie in the upcoming Anthony Mackie starrer. But we can surely have another look at all of them, right? Here we go!
Isaiah Bradley
Oops! Interesting way to start this list, isn’t it? Well, it is evident that Isaiah Bradley is being controlled by someone else, pretty much like how HYDRA used to control Bucky Barnes. His powers are a product of the US Government’s failed attempt to replicate the success of Project Rebirth during the Korean War. Yes, he had some reservations about Sam being the new Captain America in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Disney+ series. But eventually, he ends up supporting Wilson. However, the latest Brave New World teaser shows Bradley attempting to kill President Ross. It is possible that a HYDRA-like organisation has surfaced and is using Bradley to destabilise the US political environment.
The Leader
Tim Blake Nelson’s Samuel Sterns has been transformed into The Leader, thanks to the events of The Incredible Hulk. We only see the character from behind in the new Captain America 4 teaser. But he may end up playing the real bad guy in the movie, considering his highly ambitious persona blended with world-conquering goals and genius-level intellect in the comics. He certainly looks to wreak havoc on the entire planet.
Giancarlo Esposito’s character
Let’s not make the mistake of not considering Giancarlo Esposito’s mystery character the main antagonist in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’. We did the same with Daniel Bruhl’s Helmut Zemo in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and look what happened. While adversaries like Ultron and Loki wreaked havoc on the outside world, Zemo is one of the rare baddies who managed to tear The Avengers apart from the inside. And he did that single-handedly. How impressive is that? Esposito’s character could do something similar to Sam Wilson and President Ross in Captain America 4.
Red Hulk
Red Hulk is definitely one of the most anticipated additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now that he is the US President, Ross is looking to amend all relations and stay away from all sorts of troubles. Any sign of his involvement with something ‘fishy’ will certainly impact his presidential term. However, it seems like a global conspiracy will put Ross against Sam Wilson, eventually forcing the former to take the matter into his own hands. We all know how much he wanted to leverage Bruce Banner’s Hulk powers in The Incredible Hulk. Well, he has got his chance to feel like a Hulk in Brave New World.
