Holy Shit! Marvel has dropped the first official teaser of Captain America: Brave New World, starring Anthony Mackie as the new holder of the US coloured vibranium shield. Alongside the leading man, we see Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Many have speculated for years: would the MCU’s Ross ever unleash his inner Red Hulk? The wait is over! Get ready to see the infamous rage of Red Hulk unleashed in the upcoming MCU project.
The Brave New World teaser opens with Sam Wilson (Mackie) and Ross (Ford), who is now the US president, talking about their differences in beliefs. But Ross tries to amend his relationship with Wilson by offering him a chance to make Captain America an official military position, giving Ross complete control over Captain America. He also tasks Sam to reconstitute the Avengers team, but everything starts to fall apart after a sleeper agent conspiracy is uncovered.
Another surprising scene in the trailer is Carl Lumbly’s Isaiah Bradley attacking President Ross out of nowhere. Don’t forget that, like Bucky Barnes, Bradley was also experimented on and given super soldier abilities. This raises the question: could Ross’s actions have triggered Bradley’s attack, or is there something more sinister at play?
We also see Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon and Giancarlo Esposito in an undisclosed role. The rest of the movie’s cast includes Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Liv Tyler, Seth Rollins, Roza Salazar, and more.
