Carlos Ghosn Documentary Lands At Netflix

A documentary feature on Carlos Ghosn, who was an internationally wanted fugitive by 2020 but helmed top positions before that at companies like Michelin North America, Renault, AvtoVAZ, Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors and Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, is headed to Netflix.

This documentary on Netflix will chronicle the meteoric rise of Ghosn, internal rivalries, tensions he sparked within Nissan-Renault and his dramatic arrest. It is a global investigative film with a team of talented journalists spanning France, Japan and the UK.

Shot in France, Japan, the UK, Brazil and Lebanon, the documentary incorporates interviews of key stakeholders both in Europe, Middle East, Brazil and Japan. These include Louis Schweitzer, Patrick Pelata, Hiroto Saikawa, Ravinder Passi, Nayla Beydoun, Takashi Takano and many more.

The documentary on Carlos Ghosn, who himself isn’t involved in the creative process, is directed by BAFTA award winning director Lucy Blakstad. Blakstad is known for her work like ‘Lido’, Carlos Acosta the Reluctant Ballet dancer’, ‘Naked’ and ‘Bridges’.

The producers for the Carlos Ghosn documentary on Netflix are multi award-winning Paul Moreira and Tokyo-based Hyoe Yamamoto. The documentary feature will release on Netflix in second half of 2022, the exact date for which will be announced later.
