‘Carry On Jatta’ the popular Punjabi comedy film franchise began in 2012 and has had three parts till now. The makers have now announced a new film that carries forward the franchise but with a twist.
The latest instalment of the ‘Carry On Jatta’ franchise is titled as ‘Carry On Jattiye’ and it has now begun shooting in London. The film has also brought on board an ensemble cast that includes Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Jasmin Bhasin, Sunil Grover, Jaswinder Bhalla, Nasir Chinyoti, Nirmal Rishi and Rupinder Rupi.
‘Carry on Jattiye’ will be directed by Smeep Kang who has directed other three parts of the ‘Carry On Jatta’ franchise. Sukh Kamboj will handle the cinematography for the film.
A Panorama Studios and Humble Motion Pictures presentation, ‘Carry On Jattiye’ is produced by Gippy Grewal, Ravneet Kaur Grewal, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Vinod Aswal and Divay Dhamija.
‘Carry On Jatta’ has been one of the most successful Punjabi film franchise with each part gaining big at the box office. ‘Carry On Jattiye’ is latest part of the franchise and looks a like gender reversed version of the film given the title. It will be interesting see how this new twist plays out and how it gets received by the audience.
