An X handle called Animation Workers Ignited posted a video on X with hashtag#RIPCartoonNetwork and it soon went into trending with most people leading to think that their beloved channel is shutting down. But that’s not true!
The video posted on X by Animation Workers Ignited claims that Cartoon Network is essentially dead and other big animation studios aren’t far behind. This is because many animation workers have lost their jobs recently and some have been unemployed for over a year now. It also tells that during COVID these artists made it possible for animated content to continue providing entertainment while none other form of content production was possible. But is return the animation workers got cancelled projects, their jobs outsourced and mass layoffs.
And all this has been done for greed. The video claims that “big studios make their finances look better by reducing spending and cutting staff, CEO and executives reaping the monetary benefits for themselves.”
In the end the video asks the social media users to spread the word and help animation workers by using the hashtag #RIPCartoonNetwork and post about their favourite Cartoon Network shows.

According to an earlier video posted by Animation Workers Ignited, they talk about how the strikes that marred the Hollywood some time ago ended on a good note for the writers and actors union but not for The Animation Guild. They are still under direct threat from greedy corporations who want to pay the artists lesser and lesser and also replace them with soulless AI.
