Netflix has released the trailer of their upcoming series CAT. You might be aware of the series as it stars prominent and highly talented Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda.
The series is an interesting one. It is highly rooted in the past political scenarios of Punjab. Thus, the series has less Hindi and much more Punjabi. In fact, there are two trailers where the original is in Punjabi with a dubbed Hindi one.
It is almost equivalent to what Prime Video did with their extremely popular The Family Man Season 2. They kept the authentic Tamil conversations for Tamil characters. We realize that some people might find the dialogues hard to comprehend but the Hindi speaking people can get the essence with a little more attention.
Also, the subtitles are always there to cope with the rest.
The series is about a man whose brother gets trapped in drug consumption. He tries to get him out but the network is too strong for him to make any substantial change. Then he joins CAT where he informs and acts for curbing the drug trade.
The series apart from Randeep Hooda stars Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Dakssh Ajit Singh, Jaipreet Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, Pramod Pathal, KP Singh, and Kavya Thapar.
