Catching Killers Season 2 is now available to stream on Netflix. The true-crime documentary debuted with the first season on 8th December 2021. Just after 2 months of the first season, the second season is already available to stream. The first season had four episodes of about 30-40 minutes each and was a chilling tale.
The concept of this series is simple, the makers interview the officers who are behind cold-blooded serial killers unleashing terror in their area. Needless to say, they open up about their personal experiences and they often reveal many more candid details than we can expect from any news report.
Although documentary series is not that popular in India, things might change dramatically. House Of Secrets: The Burari Deaths came out to be a surprisingly great documentary that people couldn’t help but talk about on social media.
Yesterday, an Indian documentary Writing With FIre made it to the Oscars Nominations that further strengthening the chances of increased viewership in India. Recently, The Tinder Swinder, caught the attention of a lot of people and the documentary might get adapted to a feature film.
So we can definitely say that there are a lot of chances that this documentary can attract attention if it is marketed properly. But that doesn’t seem to be the case here.
Long story short, this documentary series has the potential of gaining viewership only if marketed properly.
