Apple Original Films and A24 have released the trailer of Causeway, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry.
Lawrence plays Lynsey, a military engineer who suffered a severe brain injury after being exposed to an IED explosion on her Afghanistan tour. As a result, she starts battling PTSD and finds it difficult to adjust to her life back home.
The film premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in September and received sensational reviews. Critics especially praised Lawrence’s and Henry’s performances.
The actress bagged the Academy Award for Best Actress in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook in 2012. Also, she won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance in American Hustle (2013). Films like The Hunger Games series, Winter’s Bone, X-Men series, Don’t Look Up, and many more treasure her best performances.
Lawrence will also be seen in Gene Stupnitsky’s No Hard Feelings, scheduled to hit the theatres in June 2023. She is also one of the producers of the film.
Helmed by Lila Neugebauer, Causeway is a joint production of A24 and Apple. Apart from leading the project, Jennifer Lawrence has co-produced the film with Justine Polsky. The movie will release in theatres and on the Apple TV+ streaming platform on November 4. Stay tuned for more updates.
