Just a few months back, Binged reported to its readers that the highly celebrated Malayalam movie Ariyippu will arrive directly on Netflix. Well, that was true and it is indeed coming on the platform soon.
Mahesh Narayan’s movie was screened at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival this year in October. Not only that, the film debuted at Locarno Film Festival and was later loved at London Film Festival.
The film has garnered too much appreciation from several film festivals this year and is now eyeing its digital release. The movie is about an immigrant and struggling married couple Harish (played by Kunchacko Boban) and Reshmi (Divya Prabha) who are from Kerala and work near Delhi in a medical gloves factory.
They wanted to settle outside India for a more comfortable life but something catastrophic strikes them. An old video of Reshmi gets manipulated and circulated in the wrong manner. Naturally, it has a severe impact on the life and relationship of the couple. The film talks about how they cope with the same.
The concept of the film is promising but the execution was brilliant and that’s the reason it got such widespread appreciation from all around the world.
But the most important information, Ariyippu is set to arrive on Netflix India on the 16th Of December.
