The producers of John Abraham’s upcoming film ‘Vedaa’ took to social media today and revealed that the action drama film has not yet received its clearance and certification from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) despite following all the protocols.
The announcement states that the application for the certification was made well before the prescribed eight weeks to the scheduled release date. Following which the film was screened for CBFC on 25th June and without any explanation or reasoning it was advanced to a revising committee review.
According to the makers, they have since waited patiently and made multiple requests to all concerned office bearers and repeatedly daily documented their appeal for certification, consideration or even an explanation, but they got nothing.
Further, in the announcement, the producers have urged and wished that their concerns reaches those who might be able to help them out with this issue so that it gets resolved soon and they could move ahead with their desired release date of 15th August for ‘Vedaa’.
So does this mean ‘Vedaa’ will be delayed? Is this the producers calling out on authorities who have been ignoring their requests, in a respectful yet assertive manner? Whatever be the reason, if the film is delayed due to this matter it will be a big disappointment for John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani fans who have eagerly waiting for the film.
Moreover, if ‘Vedaa’ gets delayed due to the above issue, there will be one less film on Independence Day, and it will be a clash amongst ‘Stree 2’, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and ‘Thangalaan’.
