The trailer for Umesh Shukla (‘OMG: Oh My God’. ‘102 Not Out’) presents ‘Chakki’ is out now and it’s the story of a man struggling with the corrupt system. Helmed by Satish Munda, ‘Chakki’ will release in cinemas on 7th October, 2022.
‘Chakki’ trailer follows Vijay (Rahul Bhat), a common man running his flour mill business peacefully and having a happy love life with his family and girlfriend, played by Priya Bapat. His life was all set until one day he receives a hefty electricity bill.
And then begins his frustratingly repetitive and unfruitful journey to the electricity office where everyone is into making their own money out of other’s problems. Vijay keeps on trying his best to get his meter checked and repaired or replaced but he just seems to get stuck in the corrupt and dishonest system every time.
It’s then that he decides to take the matter in his hands and ends up getting an arrest warrant for stealing electricity. The case then leads to hearings in court that itself is burdened with plethora of cases. All this takes a hard toll on Vijay, affecting both his personal and professional life. Will Vijay be able to come out of this vicious trap victorious or will he be it’s another victim?
With story and direction by Satish Munda, ‘Chakki’ stars Rahul Bhat (‘Section 375’) and Priya Bapat (‘City Of Dreams’) and is set in Bhopal. Munda has also done the screenplay for the film alongside Ashwin Verman. ‘Chakki’ has music by Indian Ocean with lyrics coming from ace artists like Piyush Mishra and Varun Grover.
‘Chakki’ is produced by Bharat Ninderwal and distributed by Shiladitya Bora’s Platoon Distribution. ‘Chakki’ will release in theatres on 7th October, 2022.
