Willy ‘the Wonderful’ Wonka did manage to make a wonderful box office run; the man is definitely not just capable of producing great chocolate but also knows the recipe for success.
Becoming the most successful Wonka film in the franchise and grossing $500 million is undoubtedly a staggering achievement. However, as the box office performance is slightly declining, the film is soon reaching the OTT space.
The success of Wonka is not only a source of joy and celebration for Warner Bros. Discovery but also a matter of concern for Disney. Interestingly, Warner Bros. also managed to attract a great number of adults to the big screens through this deliciously tempting film.

The film will be available in VOD and PVOD formats from January 22nd. Users will be able to rent the film for ₹499, and the price tag to buy it is ₹799. Also, due to the extremely limited theatrical run in India, the early OTT streaming justifies that.
But again, like most store content, the price tag is too expensive for the Indian audience, especially the rental price. Most people usually wait for a couple of weeks for it to be released on regular OTT platforms, like JioCinema in this case.
