The official trailer for the movie ‘Challengers’ has been released. It stars Zendaya in the lead role. Challengers is written by Justin Kuritzkes and directed by Luca Guadagnino. It is a sports drama and the trailer is quite impressive. The film will hit the theaters on the 15th of September.
As we get to know from the trailer, ‘Challengers’ is the story of a girl named Tashi who is exceptionally good at the game of tennis. A couple of friends both get attracted towards Tashi and invite her over. Tashi too is impressed with them and they soon get intimate. But Tashi soon finds herself in a serious accident that costs her her whole career. But she marries one of the friends and plays a coach to him. She turns her husband to a terrific player from a mediocre and average one. And when he starts losing again, she insists him on going on a challenger event, where he finds himself playing against his once best friend and Tashi’s old lover.
The trailer is well-cut and the music is pretty good. Zendaya looks promising as a tennis player. The film also stars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. The cinematography of Challengers is handled by Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and the music is given by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Fans are quite excited with the film and the trailer has gathered a lot of views in a very short time. Challengers was previously decided to be released directly in OTT but it is good that the makers are now releasing it in theaters.
