Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui was a very unique film. The issue it raises should have been raised a long ago but unfortunately, Bollywood was too regressive for that.
Ayushmann Khurrana is a very brave actor who has the dare to take up films that are hardly touched by anyone else. He has proved this many times in the past and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is just another example.
Ayushmann Khurrana plays the character of Manvinder Munjal who is a fitness freak and happens to own a gym.
He is also preparing for a local competition by investing a lot of time in his gym exercising.
Things were going pretty smoothly until Manvi Brar entered the game. She is a Zumba instructor who is newly appointed in Manu’s Gym.
Manvi is a highly attractive woman who draws all the attention of Manu. Soon they get involved in consistent and passionate hanky panky.
But only until Manvi reveals a secret about her sex.
Then start confusion, ignorance and baseless hatred that has existed in our society for centuries now.
This is a film that everyone should watch because deep down we may have certain biases that should be thrown away.
Everyone is different and the least we can do is to respect the diversity created by nature.
But most importantly, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is now available to stream on Netflix and you can watch it from there.
