Channing Tatum’s Dog Is a Box Office Winner!

Who doesn’t love a good dog movie? To top it you have Channing Tatum headlining it. “Dog,” a film the actor also co-directs with Reid Carolin, is a story about the relationship between a man and his dog, based on his own experience with his late dog Lulu.

Dog” had a theatrical release on 18th February. It has already exceeded expectations as it is on track to gross $18M+ in its 4-day opening period, surpassing ‘ Death on the Nile ‘ at the box-office. Made on a stringent budget of around only $15M, the film has already emerged a winner.

Channing Tatum’s Briggs, a former army ranger agrees to drive an army ranger companion dog Lulu to the funeral of her former owner Nuke. Initially Briggs and Lulu don’t get along, but while on the road trip, they understand each other, and along the way, people bring out the better sides of both man and animal.

Channing Tatum plays Briggs and a Belgian Malinois plays Lulu. Other stars include Q’orianka Kilcher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Kevin Nash, Aqueela Zoll, Jane Adams, Darren Keilan and Cayden Boyd. Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin also co-produces the film alongside Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer , FilmNation Entertainment, Gregory Jacobs and Brett Rodriguez. As the film continues it’s successful run at the box-office , all eyes are now on it’s OTT release. However, there’s no clarity so far on the streaming plans of “Dog”.
