In the race to block the biggest release dates of this year and the next, one film has got left out. It is none other than ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, the upcoming action thriller directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Produced by Salman Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the film features actor Aayush Sharma (of ‘Loveyatri’ fame and Khan’s brother in law) and southern actress Pragya Jaiswal in the lead along with Salman Khan himself. ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ is based on the 2018 Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern’ that chronicles the hardships faced by farmers and their links to the criminal world. Now despite having a cameo by Salman Khan, there hasn’t been much buzz surrounding the film. Read on to know the makers’ latest strategy to tackle this.
‘Antim: The Final Truth’ was to earlier release on the occasion of Dussehra in cinemas as well as on streaming platform Zee5. However, a lot has changed since then and many big-ticket movies have also entered the game. It is believed that after deep thought, the makers have reportedly decided to opt for a theatrical release. The latest buzz however is that Salman Khan’s role has been increased in the film to perhaps combat the other big releases slated to arrive. The film was otherwise majorly touted to be an Aayush Sharma film, where he plays a gangster, whereas Khan essays the role of a policeman.
Salman Khan has been shooting in Mumbai for his extended portions over the last three days. Said a source to a popular media publication, “After watching the film in post-production, Salman Khan felt that there’s a requirement to add more scenes featuring him. Also, now that the film is releasing in cinemas, he felt that it was important to extend his role a bit to satisfy his fans who’ll come to the cinemas majorly for him.”
Well after this new development, it seems difficult that ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ will see a release so soon in October in time for Dussehra. The makers may now postpone the release date to November sometime. Although an official announcement has not been given by the makers, one is expected soon. In all probability, a clearer picture should follow next week once the film hits the post-production phase. Stay tuned to Binged for more updates!
