‘Chhaava’ released in theatres yesterday and we now have the official data of its day 1 business. According to Maddock Films ‘Chhaava’ has collected ₹33.1 crores met box office collection in India and if we consider the worldwide gross box office collection it is ₹50 crores. In fact it is touted to be the biggest opening ever for a historical Hindi film.

But we all know that more than this it’s the people’s words for the film that’s more reliable. The initial reviews and reactions for Laxman Utekar directorial ‘Chhaava’ are now out and there is kind of a mixed response.

Vicky Kaushal’s performance is being appreciated and it becomes more important since ‘Chhaava’ marks the biggest opening day for him, surpassing all his previous films. Other cast members like Rashmika Mandanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Vinnet Kumar Singh have done good job in their limited roles.

‘Chhaava’ has received praise for its narrative, action, and drama. Special mention is being given for the last 40-45 minutes of the film which managed to grip the audience well and turned out to be a great climax.

Though there has been criticism regarding the screenplay, which has its flaws and is rather inconsistent. Also, many fans believe the background music is the sore point of ‘Chhaava’, it lacks impact and is not up to the mark.
