Zee5 has dropped the trailer for its upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘Chhatriwali’ and its one fun filled educational social drama. Helmed by by Tejas Deoskar, the romantic comedy drama will premiere exclusively Zee5 on 20th January, 2023.
‘Chhatriwali’ trailer follows Sanya (Rakul Preet Singh), a young spirited woman who is a teacher by profession and is living a simple, happy life, until a few incidents change her perspective. It’s then that she decides to take it upon herself to spread education about safe sex.
Sanya is prepared to tackle all the challenges that come along the way as she tries to bring about a change by engaging in a topic that has been considered forbidden for ages. From solving student’s curiosities to help them understand the importance of sex education, Sanya is doing it all and she has support from her loved ones too.
‘Chhatriwali’ is a romantic comedy drama set in Karnal and follows an unemployed smart young women looking for a job meanwhile using her skills to fight the social taboo of educating the youth about Sex Education.
In addition to Rakul Preet, ‘Chhatriwali’ stars Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Tailang, Pracheen Singh Pandya, Kajol Chugh and Arica Arora among others.
Directed by Tejas Deoskar, ‘Chhatriwali’ is written by Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshee Srivastava and aims to promote the importance of male contraceptives and safe sex. Siddharth Vaswani serves as the cinematographer for the film that is edited by Shruti Bora. Mangesh Dhakde has composed music for the film.
‘Chhatriwalim is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Sonia Kanwar and Ehsaan Phadnis. RSVP Movies is the production company bankrolling the film. ‘Chhatriwalim will start streaming on Zee5 from 20th January, 2023.
