Do you wanna travel into a time machine? Well, a South Korean TV series, “Chief Detective 1958” might help! Premiering on April 19, 2024, this show is a prequel to the popular “Chief Inspector” series. It’s all about solving crimes in the 1950s and 1960s, way before fancy technology like CCTV came along.
In “Chief Detective 1958,” detectives rely on their instincts and smarts to catch bad guys. The main character, Detective Park Young-han, played by Lee Je-hoon, is really good at catching small-time crooks. But he gets caught up in bigger problems, like corruption and unfairness.
Park teams up with three interesting colleagues: Kim Sang-sun (Lee Dong-hwi), Cho Kyung-hwan (Choi Woo-sung), and Seo Ho-jeong (Yoon Hyun-soo). Together, they fight against corrupt people and try to make things right.
Korean content is a rage these days. They are highly popular and fans are always excited to get more and more from them. Last year, a Korean series by the name of “Moving” became a sensation on the platform. Since then, we have been seeing more and more Korean content on Disney+ as the usual stuff from the platform is really bad. Take the case of Nell Rebelle. It is so bad, it is not even funny.
Regardless, you can catch “Chief Detective 1958” every Friday and Saturday on Disney+Hotstar, starting from April 19 in India.
