Chris Pine Starrer Dungeons & Dragons Movie Officially Is A ‘Go’, Director Confirms

The most popular role-playing table-top board game is coming back and this time, in the version of a film. Yes, you heard it right. Dungeons & Dragons the movie has officially begun production, confirmed by the director himself.

Earlier yesterday, the director of the film, Jonathan Goldstein took to his twitter to share the news with his fans, captioning: The campaign begins. #DnD

We also see that there is a logo on the clapboard shown in the picture shared by him, which is identical to the original Dungeons & Dragons logo. This indicates that the story of the film will be intended to be faithful to the original storyline of the game.

The buzz for the reboot of the Dungeons & Dragons is going on for a long time now since 2000 when the first film based on the game failed to create any impact on the box office. But as it’s been confirmed that we are heading for a new D&D movie with a stellar cast featuring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and Regé-Jean Page of Bridgerton fame, it would be really fascinating news for the fans of the original game.

As mentioned earlier, Jonathan Goldstein who earlier wrote the screenplays for Spider-Man: Homecoming and Horrible Bosses, will be directing the film. John Francis Daley as well as Barry Peterson will be the co-director and the director of photography for the film, respectively.

Paramount Pictures, who will be producing Dungeons & Dragons, hasn’t yet confirmed any release date yet but the announcement by the director himself will keep the excitement high for the fans, for sure!
