Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck are coming together for a project where the former will star and the latter two would produce. If you are unaware then Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are long time friends who have worked together in multiple films. They also have a production company by the name of Artists Equity that has greenlit the next movie starring Cillian Murphy.
Small Things Like These will be based on Claire Keegan’s novel of the same name. Mind you that Ciarán Hinds and Emily Watson are also a part of the project as co-stars of Murphy.
The story will revolve around an Irish man called Bill Furlong during the Christmas of 1985. He works in a coal mine and learns a few things that he ideally shouldn’t have. He gets to learn a few secrets not only about the local church but also himself.
The novel was released back in 2021 and is a highly celebrated one. It was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won the top score for Orwell Prize for Political Fiction.
Good for Cillian Murphy, the project reunites him with his long time collaborator and director Tim Mielants. They have worked together in Peaky Blinders too.
Regardless, the project has just been announced and it will take a considerable time to finalize the project. Stay tuned to Binged for all updates.
