The Family Man 2 Directors Raj and DK are presenting a Telugu movie, Cinema Bandi which will release directly on Netflix on May 14th. The trailer of the film which looks so natural and oozing innocence is being appreciated by the audience as well as many celebrities. Praveen Kandregula has directed the film and he reveals his inspiration in making the film.
“My father got me the first camera when I am in my seventh class. I along with my cousins used to make short films with that camera. Cinema Bandi’s basic idea comes from there. I and my writer Vasanth pitched the idea to Raj and DK. They liked it but wanted us to come up with a demo shoot. They liked it very much and were on board for the film right from the start,” the director revealed.
The story happens in a village on the borders of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. So, they speak Telugu in funny slang. “We wanted to bring the innocence factor into the story. So choose that backdrop. Our actors are also from there and so, things have become easy. The basic idea came from a Kannada film – Thithi (2015),” the director said.
