Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer for the third season of one of its most popular original shows ‘City of Dreams’ and it makes for one gripping political drama. Created by Nagesh Kukunoor, ‘City of Dreams’ season three will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on 26th May, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla and Marathi.
‘City of Dreams’ season three trailer begins with Amey Rao Gaekwad and his daughter Poornima coming together but are their differences really solved or is it just a tactic to regain power. On the other hand Gaekwad faces threat from Gurav who not only leaves the party but also attempts to break it by influencing the former’s party members to join him.
For this he joins hands with Vibha who though got defeated in the State is back stronger after winning at the Centre and plans to avenge her defeat. On the other hand there’s an attack on Poornima Gaekwad who is seemingly going through a crises of her own and takes every step thoughtfully.
There’s a lot going in both father and daughter Gaekwad’s lives and both have their own challenges to face. Will they overcome it and come together as bigger force or will the struggle for power continue despite it all.
A political crime-thriller drama set in Mumbai, ‘City of Dreams’ season 1 was a partly engaging whereas it was the convincing performances in the second season that elevated the story. It will be interesting to see what the third season has to offer.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor (‘Iqbal’, ‘Dor’) who has written and created the show alongside Rohit Banawilkar, ‘City of Dreams’ stars Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Eijaz Khan, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Siddharth Chandekar, Geethika Tyagi and Rakesh Dubey among others.
