After a more than two-year-long wait, fans of the thrilling political drama “City Of Dreams” will get to watch Season 2 of the show. Yes, Disney Plus Hotstar has not just announced the City Of Dreams Season 2 release date, but has also launched an exciting trailer for the upcoming show. Readers will be glad to know that City Of Dreams Season 2 premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on 30th July.
The City Of Dreams Season 2 trailer shows the Gaikwad clan—or what remains of it after Ashish is killed by sister Purnima Gaikwad (Priya Bapat)—go after the CM’s seat in Maharashtra politics. Amey Rao Gaikwad (Atul Kulkarni) is shown making a hasty recovery from his attack injuries, lest daughter Purnima wrest the CM’s chair from under his nose.
It’s not clear from the trailer on whose side Inspector Wasim Khan’s (Eijaz Khan) loyalties lie. New entrant in Season 2, Sushant Singh, seems to be the villain of the piece. Divya Seth too makes an entry this season as the High Command of the ruling political party in Maharashtra. Sachin Pilgaonkar is missing in action this season. Looks like he’s no more a part of City Of Dreams Season 2.
That aside, if City Of Dreams pit the siblings Purnima and Ashu against each other in Season 1, the new season will see father and daughter going hammer and tongs in quest of the ultimate need – of power. The season promises to bring even more thrill and intrigue into what was already a compelling political drama.
