Legendary Hollywood actor and Academy award winning filmmaker Clint Eastwood (Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby) is gearing up for his 40th film as a director – a legal drama titled ‘Juror #2’. As per the latest update, Oscar winning actor J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man) has been roped in to play an important role in the film. He will be essaying the role of a juror.
The underlying plot of ‘Juror #2’ revolves around a man named Justin Kemp, who is serving as a juror in an important murder trial case. Now, he must make a tough decision based on which he could turn around the jury’s verdict in favor of or against the man on trial. His decision could potentially either set free or convict the wrong killer. And this man on trial will be essayed by Gabriel Basso.
Clint Eastwood’s ‘Juror #2’ boasts of some well-known names including Nicholas Hoult, Tony Collette, Kiefer Sutherland, and Gabriel Basso amongst others. Besides an interesting cast, ‘Juror #2’ is also blessed with an intriguing premise, reminiscent of a Jeffrey Archer mystery story.
Besides ‘Juror No.2’, J.K. Simmons’s forthcoming acting projects include the Netflix action thriller movie ‘The Union’ co-starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry, thriller film ‘You Can’t Run Forever’, and a Christmas action flick ‘Red One’ co-starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans.
