Code Name: Tiranga Trailer: Can It Achieve What Dhaakad Couldn’t?

Talented Indian actress Parineeti Chopra, who has proved her acting mettle with several sincere performances in the past, is all geared up for the release of her next film titled ‘Code Name: Tiranga’. The movie is set to release in theatres on 14th October. And now, the makers have unveiled the film’s official trailer (attached below).

‘Code Name: Tiranga’ trailer showcases Parineeti Chopra in a slick action avatar. The sneak-peek also contains some close combat action sequences and some nice cinematography. The highly skilled special ops agent Durga Singh, played by Parineeti Chopra, is sent on a dangerous mission codenamed Tiranga in order to kill a terrorist in foreign soil.

As you already know that another spy action flick ‘Dhaakad’ was released in cinemas a few months back. Despite its intentions, Kangana Ranaut’s presence, and filmmaking efforts, ‘Dhaakad’ became a box-office disaster within just a week of its release. So, can ‘Code Name: Tiranga’ and Parineeti Chopra achieve what Kangana Ranaut’s similarly themed movie ‘Dhaakad’ could not?

Parineeti Chopra is a talented performer and we have seen that particularly in Habib Faizal’s critically acclaimed romantic action movie ‘Ishaqzaade’ (2012) co-starring Arjun Kapoor. In that film too, Parineeti Chopra donned a rough-and-tough and feisty avatar and excelled in it. Although that wasn’t an out-an-out action role. But that’s not enough we suppose. Because besides lead performances, the film in itself should be well-executed and should also appeal to the audiences.

Having said that, from the trailer of ‘Code Name: Tiranga’, the film is showing some potential, however the final verdict will be out on 14th October.

‘Code Name: Tiranga’ is a spy actioner which follows the story of a spy – Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent (played by Parineeti Chopra), who must race against time to complete an important mission for her country. Besides Parineeti Chopra, the film also features Harrdy Sandhu, Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.

The high-octane movie has been helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta, whose previous directorial credits includes ‘The Girl on the Train’, ‘Bard of Blood’, ‘Te3n’, and ‘Yudh’. ‘Code Name: Tiranga’ will start streaming on the Netflix OTT platform after it completes its theatrical run.
