Universal Pictures had already taken Strays, a live action adult comedy project from Phil Lord and Chris Miller under it’s wings. The latest news is that comedian Randall Park (Aquaman, Human Resources) has joined it’s already star-studded cast including the likes of Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx and Will Forte. However more details on the character played by Park has not been revealed yet.
Directed by Josh Greenbaum and written by Dan Perrault, The film follows an abandoned dog who teams up with other stray dogs to get revenge on his nasty former owner. Will Ferrell plays the abandoned dog and Jamie Foxx is one of the strays who befriends him. Will Forte is supposedly playing the nasty human owner.
Picturestart initially joined in as the main producer who then approached Greenbaum, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, now acting as Co-producers. Universal Pictures has scheduled Strays for a June 9, 2023 release.
