Guess you need one more shot of ‘Ramy’-dy for a laugh or two. HBO brings us another comedy special, ‘Ramy Youssef: More Feelings,’ from, you guessed it, Ramy Youssef. His upcoming comedy show is set to premiere on HBO in March as a debut before heading to Max for streaming. The special, which is directed and executive produced by Christopher Storer, will be recorded on February 2 and 3 at White Eagle Hall in New Jersey.
Truly a Jack of all trades, Ramy Youssef is an stand-up comedian, screenwriter, actor, and director. For the uninitiated, Youseff is known for directing, producing, and starring in the Hulu series “Ramy,” which is based on his life experiences. Apart from his success with “Ramy,” he is also a co-creator of the Netflix series, ‘Mo’, which is about a Palestine refugee’s life in Houston.
His first HBO comedy special, “Ramy Youssef: Feelings,” was a hit among audiences, ultimately earning him a Critics’ Choice Award nomination, a Writers Guild Award in 2020 and a ticket for the show’s sequel in 2024.
His next project, “More Feelings,” is jointly produced by A24, and Youssef’s very own production ‘Cairo Cowboys,’ making him an actor, a writer and one of the executive producers (apart from Tyson Binder). The director-comedian duo is not something new: Youseff directed one episode ‘Honeydew’ in the Emmy-winner series ‘The Bear,’ which is created by Christopher Storer. While we wait for the premiere date of ‘Ramy Youssef: More Feelings,’ you can watch the first part on Max!
