As fans wait desperately for Stranger Things Season 4 to drop on Netflix, the streaming giant has decided to surprise its viewers. This holiday season, Netflix has planned to make its millions of Stranger Things fans very happy by streaming a special holiday episode with the cast of Stranger Things Season 4. The special episode will have the cast primary members David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer and Finn Wolfhard getting together virtually to play a round of Dungeons & Dragons.
The Stranger Things S4 special episode will stream on Netflix on 18th December. While fans are ecstatic on the development, many have questioned the absence of Will Byers, played by actor Noah Schnapp. The connection between Will Byers and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) goes back all the way up to Season 1. The boy loved playing D&D. All he wants in Season 3 is to play it with his best friends Mike and Lucas. But they’ve grown up and moved on, while he still has the mind of a child, due to his experience in the Upside Down. D&D is still special for Will Byers. But he is not amongst those that feature in the Stranger Things S4 Special.
Will Netflix spring a surprise by getting him on screen in the special? We don’t know as yet.
Stranger Things 4 is still stuck in production, having been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The special episode comes like a treat for fans of the Netflix series.
David Harbour had teased the Stranger Things 4 Special on his Instagram on December 6, where the cast could be seen ready to play Dungeons & Dragons. He had captioned it thus, “Tis the season for both young and old dorks to meet in a tavern and attempt to slay mighty technical glitches.”
The Netflix Dungeons & Dragons and Strangers Things 4 special will release on December 18.
