Netflix has brought on board director Kim Jin-min once again for a new Korean original series ‘Undercover’ (working title), the production of which has been confirmed by the streaming giant. Kim Jin-min’s ‘Extracurricular’ that came on Netflix in the first half of 2020 received rave reviews and was a great hit among the viewers.
‘Undercover’ is supposedly a crime-thriller story about a mobster’s daughter, Ji-u, who joins a cartel to find the truth about his father’s death. Meanwhile, she also works as a spy for the police force. The series will also portray the psyche of Ji-u while she tries to seek revenge.
Kim Jin-min in ‘Extracurricular’ on Netflix displayed the dark side of a teen and the harsh truth of the society, quite contrary to what is normally shown in K-Dramas and was highly acclaimed for it. The director is also known for his amazing works like Lawless Lawyer, Time Between Dog and Wolf and Marriage Contract.
Kim Ba-da known for ‘Life Risking Romance’, ‘The Huntresses’ will be the writer for the ‘Undercover’ which will be produced by Fleet Co.
