Nikhil Siddharth’s multilingual film ‘Karthikeya 2’ is currently running successfully in theatres and we now have info on where it will stream on OTT. Helmed by Chandoo Mondeti, ‘Karthikeya 2’is set to land on Zee5 post its theatrical run.
Going by the film’s box office performance, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the makers decide to launch ‘Karthikeya 2’ in Zee5 a little later than the standard 28 day theatrical window. In fact it would be a wise decision.
‘Karthikeya 2’ is presently in cinemas and is doing wonders at the box office in Telugu speaking areas. But what’s more interesting is the film’s performance in Hindi circles where it has to compete with Bollywood biggies like Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
Though ‘Karthikeya 2’ released on Saturday and in limited screens in the Hindi belt, the film was able to register a growth of an astonishing 300% on the second day itself. If this trend continues the film’s surely going to be a super hit across the country and not just in the Telugu speaking zones.
Directed and written by Chandoo Mondeti, ‘Karthikeya 2’ is a sequel to the 2014 Telugu language supernatural mystery thriller film ‘Karthikeya’ also helmed by Mondeti. The film stars Nikhil Siddharth, Anupama Parameswaran, Anupam Kher, Aditya Menon, KS Sridhar, Srinivas Reddy, Satya, Praveen and Harsha Chemudu among others.
In ‘Karthikeya 2’, Nikhil Siddharth, in his pursuit of truth goes on to unravel the mysteries of undersea city of Dwarka and Lord Krishna. The film is produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and TG Vishwa Prasad under Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory. Vivek Kuchibhotla serves as the co-producer of the film.
Kaala Bhairava has composed the music for ‘Karthikeya 2’ with cinematography by Karthik Ghattamaneni. ‘Karthikeya 2’ is running in theatres in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam and is set to have its digital premiere on Zee5.
