Stephen Merchant has said that the Third season of the comedy thriller ‘The Outlaws’ will be the last season.
The director has said, “I think this series concludes in a very nice way and hopefully might bring a tear to the eye, so if it does then that would be great.” Stephen Merchant says he will be busy with stand-up comedy shows and there are some film projects in his hands. He will not be able to give time to the show anymore and it will be better to let it stop. Merchant is now working on ‘The Office’ spin-off right now.
The show tells the story of seven misfits who are sentenced to do community service in Bristol by doing something of value in the city. They go on in epic adventures and from the tag of misfits, they are soon recognised as ‘outlaws’. Their actions threaten their own lives as they navigate through the world of crime and investigation. The Outlaws stars Christopher Walken, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jessica Gunning of Baby Reindeer fame and Merchant himself. The show is an epic example of the melangé of comedy and thriller and is loved by audiences all over the world. It streams on BBC and in India it is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. The show has gathered much appreciation from audiences and critics as well, but it seems there is no way that it comes back with a fourth season.
The third season of ‘The Outlaws’ is going to premiere on the 31st of May and it will deal with the individual characters more than the social situations and there will be an emotional see-off in the season finale
