When the makers released the trailer of Crew then we assumed it to be a sort of bold and entertaining story that would be compared to Veerey Di Wedding in the future. However, things were not destined this way. Crew was actually a nice entertaining film with a charming cast.
The movie is led by Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. Together they create a sort of magical fun that is just too entertaining for a one time watch. We are not saying that it is a great film, it certainly is not. However, for a once in while masala entertainment, it is no bad option either.
The movie was released at midnight and people are more than excited to watch it. They gave the movie a chance and let’s tell you the response so far.
Crew is not everyone’s film. Unlike Laapata Ladies that is very likely to be liked by everyone, Crew is more of a niche film that is tailor made for the urban audience. Three women having fun, hurling abuses, working on a flight is something that will be downright rejected by a lot of people.
So, don’t expect the movie to have a kind of ginormous hit like Laapata Ladies. But, Crew is getting the sort of reception that was needed. Since the movie is already tapped by its target audience, the movie has a little less chance. Let’s wait till we bring the authentic numbers.
