‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ fame Anshuman Jha starrer ‘Lakadbaggha’ is all set for its world digital premiere after winning huge critical acclaim including the Best Actor Award for Jha at the South Asian International Film festival presented by HBO.
Set in Kolkata, ‘Lakadbaggha’ follows Arjun Bakshi who teaches martial arts in the day and turns into an animal loving vigilante by night. While searching for a lost dog one night, he chances upon a rare species of the Indian Striped Hyena (Lakadbaggha) and upon investigating unearths the fact that an underground illegal animal trade cell functions from Kolkata port. Meanwhile he is being chased by a crime branch officer who is tasked to find out about this hooded vigilante.
Directed by Victor Mukherjeeand written by Alok Sharma, ‘Lakadbaggha’ stars Anshuman Jha, Ridhi Dogra, Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman among others. The film had its world premiere at Kolkata International Film Festival 2022 and its international premiere at the HBO South Asian International Film Festival, New York.
