The first official trailer for the movie ‘Cuckoo’ is out now. The movie is written and directed by Tilman Singer. It stars actors like Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick.
The movie tells the story of a teenager girl who goes to the Alps to live with her father in the mountains, even if she does not have much wish to do so. She is greeted by strange neighbours and is made to feel like an outsider pretty soon. She is disturbed by a chain of uncomfortable events and eerie happenings. Gretchen, the teen, discovers that a deep secret in her family is behind all this.
The trailer is wonderfully cut, with appropriatw music. Even though there is a raw, indie sense to the trailer, it looks like it is going to be one hell of a ride. ‘Cuckoo’ gives A24 vibes very strongly, with similar subject and treatment. It is, by the way, produced by Fiction Park and Waypoint Entertainment.
The movie is about to release on the 9th of August this year and there is some anticipation among the fans beaming up for it. Cuckoo premiered at the Berninale Festival this year and opened with pretty decent reviews and ratings.
The music of the film is composed Simon Waskow and the cinematography is handled by Paul Faltz. It is a good time for horrors, with directors like Robert Eggers, Jordan Peele, Ari Aster. With new artists like Tilman Singer coming to try something crazy in the genre, it is going to be better only.
