In the US where Disney Plus has begun streaming, the initial response is phenomenal. The vast library of content that is available for the subscribers to watch is mindboggling. Many are already terming such presence would lead to content fatigue, and this is only the beginning.
The entire catalogue of Star Wars, Marvels, Pixer, Disney Animation and other Disney related content of past and present are all available on the platform. Fans are so spoiled for choices that they are unable to pick one.
All that is fine, but as far as India is concerned, Disney Plus launch still seems a long way away. It was reported earlier that Hotstar might host all the content locally, but it hasn’t materialised yet.
There are also rumours doing the rounds that Disney Plus may have its own platform in India as well. The prices regarding the same are also speculated. However, none of it is authentic or official at the moment. Watch this space for details on the Indian launch.
