Superman & Lois is the latest entrant in the long list of Arrowverse shows. The CW show premiered and opened to warming reviews by the critics. But what worked for the show is the audience’s approval towards it. Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. When Tyler was announced as the Man of Steel for the Arrowverse back in 2016, the actor was met with a lot of unnecessarily criticism from the audience who thought he didn’t fit the role. But here we are in 2021, he has his own show and is actually nailing the character of Kryptonian.
With Supergirl set to end with its upcoming season 6, and Black Lightning already in its final stretch, it was necessary for DCTV universe to bring a major character into the already diminishing universe (farewell Arrow). With Superman & Lois, Greg Berlanti has finally brought the much required maturity and responsibility in the Arrowverse.
Superman & Lois is set after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths where the reality got rewritten and resulted in some major changes in the multiverse. Clark Kent and Lois Lane now have twins instead of a single son. The twins Jordan and Jonathan are 14 year old teenagers. The Kent-Lois family is suffering from the lack of “family time” due to the regular absence of Clark and with the teenagers living in their adolescence, the emotions are always in hand.
If you haven’t seen the pilot episode yet, we’ll stop right here. But honestly, those who are the fans of Superman and Arrowverse, do check the show out. The audience are generally happy after the 1 hour length pilot and are really excited about the rest of the season. Many have even claimed it to be one of the best pilots of recent times!!
The next episode of Superman & Lois will be airing on March 2nd 2021.
