Daaku Maharaaj has made a grand debut on Netflix. Led by the prominent Nandamuri Balakrishna, this latest action-adventure flick from director Bobby Kolli has performed well at the box office, earning over 115 crores. Now, it is performing even better on Netflix India, entering the ‘Top 10 Movies in India’ list with grand style.
As of February 26, Daaku Maharaaj ranks second on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies weekly list. Rishabh Seth’s rom-com, Dhoom Dhaam, starring the likes of Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam, is at the top of this list.
Following Daaku Maharaj are entries like Kadhalikka Neramillai (3rd), Pushpa 2: The Rule (Reloaded Version) (4th), and Meenakshi Sundareshwar (5th).
Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar still stands at the 7th rank, enjoying its 13th week of streaming (OTT) run on Netflix India.
Now, let’s turn our attention back to Daaku Maharaj. While this mass entertainer has received a mixed-to-positive critical reception, the audience’s response to this action extravaganza has been phenomenal on OTT.
Apart from Nandamuri Balakrishna, the movie stars talents such as Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Sachin Khedekar, Makarand Deshpande, Urvashi Rautela, Ravi Kishan, and more.
Philanthropist Krishnamurthy (Khedekar) opposes corrupt MLA Trimurthulu’s (Kishan) illegal activities, prompting dacoit Daaku Maharaaj (Balakrishna) to protect his granddaughter. Maharaaj’s past reveals him as Sitaram, an engineer turned dacoit after the Thakurs’ massacre. He avenges his village, fights drug lord Balwant (Deol), and ultimately reunites with his family after serving his time, witnessing the completion of the dam he envisioned.
