DaFa Kar Proves That Bollywood Needs More Of Vintage AR Rahman

DaFa Kar song from a terribly anticipated film Heropanti 2 is out now. When the trailer was released then the music was the biggest thing that we were waiting for. When it had names such as AR Rahman and a lyricist as great as Mehboob then it was pretty obvious that audiophiles are anyways gonna wait for that.

The duo has given us immortal albums like Bombay and Rangeela which are exceptionally great and still a milestone to achieve. The most recent film of AR Rahman was Atrangi Re which was yet again a brilliant album with intoxicating songs like Chaka Chak and Rait Zara Si.

Even the trailer and first song (Chaka Chak) was enough for audiophiles to wait for the upcoming songs.

Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about DaFa Kar which is terribly cruel on our ears. The lyrics don’t offer anything solid unlike the hauntingly beautiful songs that Mehboob himself wrote like “Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad”.

Even music is not something we can generally appreciate forget about the fact when we consider the name of the composer.

Long story short, AR Rahman is someone we look upto in music. Because even in the last decade when Bollywood music was in decline, he gave albums as great as Rockstar, Tamasha, Raanjhanaa and more.

Thus DaFa Kar is certainly not the song that we expect from AR Rahman and Mehboob.
