Daniel Kaluuya Boards ‘Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse’ Cast!

That’s a really good news! Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya finally makes his way into Sony’s Spider-Verse. The actor has been cast in Sony Pictures Animation’s ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ a sequel to the Academy Award winning ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’. He is said to be voicing the role of Hobart “Hobie” Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is an upcoming American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales/ Spider-Man bankrolled by by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel. Distributed by Sony Pictures, the sequel is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes aka the ‘Spider-Verse’.

Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K Thompson directs the film whose screenplay is penned by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham. The voice-cast includes Shameik Moore as Miles alongside Oscar Isaac, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman and the latest addition Daniel Kaluuya.

The film follows Miles Morales aka Spider-Man as he joins Gwen Stacy and Spider-people in the multiverse to encounter a villain who is more powerful than anything. The film is all set to release on June 2, 2023 and the third installment is scheduled for March 29, 2024 release.
