After displaying his acting prowess in Netflix’s latest flick, Darlings, Vijay Varma has been roped in for Lust Stories 2. The actor will appear in Sujoy Ghosh’s segment in the movie. Viewers will reportedly see him in a never before seen avatar in the forthcoming anthology project. However, the makers are yet to find a leading lady for the Ghosh’s segment.
This is not the first time that Varma has collaborated with Ghosh. The former is already on board for the Indian adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo’s bestselling novel, The Devotion of Suspect X. Helmed by Kahani director, Varma will share the screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
Lust Stories 2 will have director R. Balki’s segment as well. This one has the trio of Neena Gupta, Mrunal Thakur, and Angad Bedi. On the other hand, viewers will see the duo of Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash leading Konkona Sen Sharma’s segment in the film.
The first Lust Stories project had helmers Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, and Dibakar Banerjee.
Vijay Varma’s last Bollywood film was Hurdang with co-stars Sunny Kaushal and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Critics butchered the film but commended Varma for his outstanding performance.
Netflix is yet to disclose the release date of Lust Stories 2. Stay tuned for more updates.
